ITINERARY – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour 

Day 01 – 22nd April Welcome to Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. (Please note check-in times vary between hotels but are normally no earlier than noon) you have the rest of the day free to explore Istanbul and you will meet your guide later that evening who will give you information about the tour and answer any questions you might have. Overnight Stay in Istanbul.

Day 02 – 23rd April Istanbul Full day Classic Tour – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour
After breakfast at your hotel, you begin a full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. Highlights include a visit to ancient Roman Hippodrome (site of chariot races) and the Hagia Sophia, the Byzantine church that was converted to a mosque in the 15th century. You will also visit the famed “Blue Mosque” and the Grand Bazaar, the world’s largest covered bazaar, where you’ll have free time to discover some of the nearly 4,000 tiny shops that line its maze of passageways. Breakfast

Day 03 – 24th April Gallipoli Battlefields – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour
Early morning we depart for the Gallipoli peninsula where we will enjoy a BBQ lunch at Kabatepe before a short orientation tour of the WW1 battlefields of Gallipoli visiting Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial and ANZAC Cove if accessible. After the tour, we head straight to the site of the dawn service to get a good spot for the long night ahead. Overnight ANZAC Cove Breakfast
Don’t forget your sleeping bags, warm clothes, wet weather gear and torches because Gallipoli is still as dark and as cold today as it was 1915 when our ancestors landed. Please bring your hat, sunscreen and good walking shoes.

Day 04 – 25th April ANZAC Day Commemorations at Gallipoli
Awake before sunrise to the ANZAC Dawn Service. We become aware of the almost deafening silence as we commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day. We attend the Australian &/or New Zealand Memorial services before a late afternoon drive to Ayvalik for overnight stay Breakfast and Dinner

Day 05 – 26th April Acropolis of Pergamum – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour
Leaving Ayvalik we drive to the south towards Bergama for a fully guided tour of Pergamon, once the home of the Royal family and the founder of modern medicine. Tonight we arrive in Kusadasi. Overnight stay Kusadasi. Breakfast and Dinner

Day 06 – 27th April Ancient Ephesus Full-Day Tour with Sirince
Today we have a fully guided tour of ancient Ephesus – to visit Temple of Artemis (Diana) Isa Bey Mosque ancient Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in Turkey. After lunch After lunch, we will take a look at how the Turkish carpets are made by hand. Sirince village on the way back to hotel Enjoy Leather fashion Show  Overnight Kusadasi. Breakfast and Dinner

Day 07 – 28th April Pamukkale, Hierapolis – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour
Leaving the coast we drive east for the calcium terraces of Pamukkale (cotton castles). You also visit the ruins of Hierapolis, an ancient health spa, just above the calcium terraces. Overnight Pamukkale. Breakfast and Dinner

Day 08 – 29th April Pamukkale Konya, Caravansary – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour
Today will be long-distance driving, we visit the Mevlana’s Museum in Turkey’s religious Capital, Konya. We then stop on the ancient Silk Road at the Caravansary, Sultanhan. In the afternoon we drive to Cappadocia for Overnight Stay. Breakfast and Dinner

Day 09 – 30th April Cappadocia, Full day Tour – Anzac Day Turkey Package Tour
We will start the day with a visit to Dervent valley. Then proceed to Pasabag “fairy chimneys”, where the voice of the wind harmonizes with songs of the fairies. From here we pause at Avanos center of terracotta art. A visit to the ceramic & tile center to see how the ceramics made by hand.  After lunch we visit Under Ground City We complete the tour with a panoramic spot down below the Uchisar Rock-Castle Tonight; don’t miss the optional traditional Turkish folklore evening! Breakfast and Dinner

Day 10 – 01st May Cappadocia  to Istanbul by flight
After breakfast free time until transfer to airport for the flight to Istanbul, you can extend your stay with our Istanbul package please keep contact with us. Breakfast end of Anzac Day Package Tour

Important Notice:
Please bring a day pack for carrying things with you overnight at Anzac Cove and the next day in Gallipoli as once you put your main luggage on the coach on the morning of the 24th in Istanbul you will not have chance to access it again until arriving back in Istanbul on the evening of the 25th. Your main luggage will be securely locked away in the coach overnight. Please also note that the weather in Anzac Cove overnight can get very cold so we suggest you bring sleeping bags, blankets and warm clothing for this stay and even a wet weather jacket in the event that it rains.
