Many travelers begin their trip to Turkey in Istanbul. If Istanbul is where you enter Turkey, you’ll probably have to return there to catch your homeward flight at the end of your trip.
So save Istanbul for the end of your trip! You’ll save yourself the cost and trouble of a transfer from and to the airport, and unpacking and re-packing at your Istanbul hotel.
Also, if you plan to shop, Istanbul is the Big Bazaar, and by saving your shopping till the end of your trip, you won’t have to haul your purchases all over Turkey with you.
