Itinerary
If you would like to be the only one in your group and enjoy a luxurious stay & tour in your Cappadocia experience, this is a perfect way of doing it. Day 1: Flight to Cappadocia, A Short tour of the area
In and around Cappadocia
With an early pick-up from your hotel in Sultanahmet /Taksim area around 07:00 is, we will transfer you to Istanbul Airport and have the flight to Cappadocia. Our driver & guide will meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel. After about 1 hour drive, you will be at your hotel. After some time for refreshment, we will start touring around Cappadocia. We will have our lunch first and then drive to the most important place in the Cappadocia Region: Goreme Open Air Museum. The museum is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. You will see the best-preserved & painted rock-cut churches in the region there. The Dark Church which has an extra entrance fee will be included in your itinerary as well. After touring the open-air museum, we will drive you back to your hotel for some rest. In the evening, our driver &guide will meet you again to take you to Ziggy Cafe&Restaurant for a very nice dinner. After dinner, we will drive you back to the hotel. Overnight in a cave hotel in Goreme.
Day 2: Full day Private Cappadocia Tour
Optional hot air balloon flight in the early morning After meeting with your guide at the desired time that you agreed on the last night, you will start touring around magical Cappadocia. The first visit will be to Cavusin Village where there were Greek and Turkish people living together until 1924. We will hike up to the top of the village to see one of the oldest churches in the area called St. John Church from the 5th century. You will see an old Greek and Turkish Village which was inhabited until the 1950s and then moved by the government to a new place because of the falling rocks from the village. Your guide will also talk about the population exchange between Greeks and Turks in 1924 which affected the entire Turkey. We will then visit Pasabag (Monks Valley) with the best-preserved fairy chimneys in the region. The fairy chimneys in this valley are the best examples in the Cappadocia region and they are also called “mushroom fairy chimneys”. Then, we will have the kick-wheel pottery demo in Avanos that has been inherited to this town from The Hittites about 4000 years ago. Starting with the Hittites, this art became the most important cultural heritage of the town. The lunch will be in Bizim Ev Restaurant in Avanos. After lunch, we will see Devrent Valley and Urgup Fairy Chimneys see the different forms and colors of the fairy chimneys. Then, we will drive back to the hotel. After resting a few hours at the hotel, our guide & driver will meet you at the hotel and drive you to Lila Restaurant for a nice dinner. After having dinner, we will drive you back to the hotel. Overnight in a luxurious cave hotel in Goreme.
Day 3: Full day Private Cappadocia Tour
Our guide & driver will meet you at the hotel and drive you to Red & Rose Valleys for a very nice hike through the valleys. This hike might be one of your highlights in Turkey and while walking you will be visiting several churches that are over 1000 years old, some settlements, and incredible colors&shape of the fairy chimneys and rock formations. After the hike, we will drive to Goreme Panorama Point to see the view of the valleys and have a cup of Turkish coffee there. Then, we will see Uchisar Village from Pigeon Valley and then have lunch in Reserved Cappadocia Restaurant. After lunch, we will drive you to Kaymakli Underground City. After experiencing life in the underground, we will drive you back to your hotel. After some rest at the hotel, our guide & driver will meet you for dinner. They will take you to Seiten Restaurant to have dinner. After a nice experience there, we will drive you back to the hotel. Overnight in a luxurious cave hotel in Goreme.
Day 4: Flight back to Istanbul
After having your breakfast at the hotel, our driver will meet you to take you to the airport for the noon flight to Istanbul. Then, we will meet you there at the airport and take you back to your hotel in Istanbul.
